| Red Hat Tea 10:00 & 2:00, Monday, March 16 at Jaques Art Center $15 Red Hat Ladies are invited to come to tea at the Jaques Art Center. Seating is available at 10:00 and 2:00 and reservations are required. Cathy Hughes, owner of The Tuscany Room, will present a program on the different types of tea and guests will enjoy taste testing. Door prizes will add to the fun. Red Hat merchandise will be for sale in the Gallery Gifts during the week of the tea. The event is sponsored by The Tuscany Room, Aitkin. Reservations are being accepted. Spring Tea at Peysar's 1904 House 2:00 - Thursday, April 30 2:00 - Friday, May 1 2:00 - Saturday, May 2 $20 Reservations are being taken for the annual spring tea. A formal three-course tea will be served each day at 2:00 at the home of Kirk Peysar. The Victorian beauty was built in the era of the great riverboats and is one of Aitkin's most historic homes. One of the multiple owners was the legendary Dr. Rod McHugh. In addition to serving as s family residence, it was also Aitkin's first community hospital. Kirk Peysar has restored the house to its original classic elegance. Contact the JAC to secure reservations. |
